Hey, I'm Lewis.

A York wedding and family photographer with a documentary approach and an editorial eye.

The person behind the camera

Hey, I'm Lewis.

Wedding and family photographer, professional singer (in the shower), plant dad and uncle to four amazing little monsters.

I decided to take the leap into wedding and family photography in 2024, started building up my portfolio and never looked back.

What I enjoy most is noticing people: nervous hands, grandparents dancing, a friend quietly crying during the speeches. There’s often something happening just outside the obvious photograph. Being trusted to notice it is why I love this work.

Why couples choose me

The person beside you matters.

Choosing a photographer isn’t just about how the photographs look. It’s about feeling comfortable with the person beside you. We’ll get to know each other through planning conversations, check-ins and a final detail call, so there’s a familiar face behind the camera.

You don’t need to perform for the camera. I’ll know what matters to you, give a little direction when it helps and leave space for everything else.

How I look after you before, during and after

My values

Moments pass, whether we're ready or not.

The things we think we’ll remember aren’t always the things that stay clear. A familiar expression. The way someone held your hand. Who was sitting beside you. That’s what I want the photographs to keep.

Whether I’m photographing a wedding or the first days with your baby, I take that responsibility seriously. The photographs should bring you back to the people and the feeling, not just show you what happened.

How I work

Easy peasy, no stress.

I work with you, not just for you. From the first enquiry to the final gallery delivery, I'm there to support you in a way that helps your day flow naturally. I'll guide when needed, step back when it matters, and quietly anticipate moments before they unfold.

Your timeline

Need help building your timeline? I've got you.

Before the ceremony

Feeling nervous? I'll ground you.

Golden hour

Want five minutes alone together? I'll make it happen.

I blend into the background when it counts and step in with calm direction when needed. My goal is always to reduce stress, never add to it. You deserve a photographer who puts your experience first — not one who turns your wedding into a photoshoot.

Beyond your wedding day

Your milestones
don't stop at "I do."

It’s lovely to see familiar faces again: during pregnancy, with a newborn, at an anniversary or a family celebration years later. The approach stays the same — take your time, be together, let me notice what happens. You don’t have to start from scratch with someone new each time.
