My approach to wedding photography
Documentary wedding photography, with a little direction when you need it.
You don’t need to perform for the camera. Stay with your people, listen to the speeches, enjoy the food. I’ll photograph what’s happening without asking you to recreate it.
A parent holding back tears. A friend leaning in for a hug. The conversations just out of view. Documentary wedding photography leaves room for the things nobody scheduled.
For portraits and group photographs, I’ll give you enough direction to feel comfortable. My editorial eye is there in the light and composition, not in asking you to be someone else. For couples who care about how their day felt as well as how it looked.

Based in York, I photograph weddings throughout Yorkshire and beyond. From city weddings in York to country houses, barns, estates and intimate celebrations across North Yorkshire, I’m happy to travel wherever your day takes me.
From Leeds and Harrogate to Selby and the wider North Yorkshire region, the approach stays the same: let the place and the people be themselves. I photograph at Yorkshire wedding venues and travel for UK destination weddings, too.

Full day coverage from £1,450. We’ll choose coverage around your wedding, rather than ask you to fit the day into a rigid package.
